5 years living in Georgia. every year, a hurricane comes and threatens us. Not Florida, not Texas, not Louisiana, not Mexico, not the Outer banks. Here. I hate this state. Truly. I've tried. 5 years. Hate it. I don't care what anyone thinks. I've had it.
In any given hurricane season, mild or not, the truth is, all it takes is one storm. Just one to ruin your life. For good too. Thus far we have enjoyed total quiet. Total lack of any tropics activity here. The I storm, it's getting started out of a warm tropical airmass way day in El Carib. Building a head of steam. And the Southeast coast is on it's potential path.
Three months of quiet. Now I have to watch. and worry. The savage reality of these things, we don't want it here. We would rather it not hit land and do damage anywhere. But in hurricane parlance, it is all about : ANYPLACE BUT HERE!!! That is simply the way it is. Every year.
And so the turtle crawl/snail pace tracking has begun. I repeat; "In any given hurricane season, mild or not, the truth is, all it takes is one storm."
Purple lines tend toward me.
